A New Year, A New Life, A New Adventure!

Happy New Year to you and yours! We are excited to be in Week 34 of the pregnancy and we can’t believe that in less than six short weeks we will be holding Scarlette in our arms. It is hard to believe that we are almost parents and that we will meet her so soon.

Week 32 on Christmas Day

Our holidays were wonderful. It was Giovanni and my very First Christmas together as a family. We were grounded here in Fresno due to the advanced stage of the pregnancy and so it was also our first Christmas here together! It was hard to be separated from our families during the holidays, but we were welcomed in by friends and we still felt the warmth of the season.

This Christmas was a time to focus on each other and remember the small things that are so very important in life, as well as reflect on our love and the coming arrival of our Princesa Scarlette. See more photos of our Christmas morning here.

We attended an Ugly Christmas Sweater Fundraiser Party before Christmas in December and it was lots of fun! We designed our own sweaters and they were the most beautiful ugly sweaters I have ever seen.

We won the title of “Best Couple Ugly Christmas Sweaters” and we wear that crown with pride! Take a look at some more pictures of the event here.

In addition to it being our First Christmas together, it also marked the unveiling of our First Christmas Tree.

The Lord blessed us with everything we needed to have a beautiful tree and we were happy to have it adorning our living room and lighting up our holidays. You can also see more photos of our tree here.

The next few weeks before our Princesa arrives are full of all sorts of preparations and events. We are beginning Childbirth Classes next Wednesday evening and our spare time is filled with folding little undershirts and onesies, preparing the nursery, drafting our birth plan and many other baby-related tasks. The excitement is building and we are anxious to meet our little one!

  1. Happy New Year to all! May the Lord bless and keep you in 2011, and special blessings on the soon to be added Scarlet. All in Canada are eager to see the new arrival in February. Take lots of pics...
