Thanksgiving was wonderful! We enjoyed a great time of relaxing with my parents here in Fresno . We were invited to a lovely family dinner on Thanksgiving with a couple we are friends with at their home. It was gracious of them to open their home to us and it was a great time with food and family.
We also had a chance to share the gender of our coming little one with our parents in person. It was wonderful to see their reaction and be able to tell them the news one on one. I bet you are eager to hear the news too aren’t you?!?
On my birthday, November 18th, Week 27
We decided on two names before we opened then envelope and we would name our little one that day when we opened the envelope and found out what we were having. For a boy we chose “Giovanni” and for a girl we chose “Scarlette”. We have known for a few weeks now and kept it to ourselves until my parents arrived and it has been difficult to not let it slip out!
Everyone has had their guesses and the votes are overwhelmingly for a little boy. Giovanni’s mother only had boys; his Dad has only brothers, 5 of them in fact! On my side there are three girls and only one boy and my Dad and Mom only have sisters. It could have gone either way!
When Giovanni and I opened our envelope to reveal what we were having, we saw that it’s a little. . .
GIRL!!!
We are very excited and so happy. We are so looking forward to meeting her in just a couple short months. We have chosen to name her Scarlette Valentina.
It is wonderful to know that I am carrying a baby girl and it has made her all the more close to our hearts. We can’t wait to welcome her into the world.
